I am a Counsel in the Finance & Financial Regulation team in Warsaw.

We are delighted to announce that Bird & Bird has once again advised Bank of China (Europe) S.A. Branch Office in Poland and Bank of China Ltd. Branch Office in Luxembourg on financing granted in Poland.

This time we advised on a financing transaction worth over EUR 120 million to refinance a credit facility granted to a major Polish private real estate developer, owning several prestige commercial properties located in central Warsaw.

On behalf of Bird & Bird the project was led by Maciej Georg (partner and head of Bird & Bird’s Financing Transactions team), and assisted by Olga Koszewska (counsel), Adrian Ziółkowski (associate), Jakub Leszczyński (junior associate) and Dominik Figura (lawyer).

“This has been the third transaction that we have assisted banks from the Bank of China Group. We are pleased to see that a major global bank has placed such trust in us allowing us to advise on these big, complex and heavily negotiated transactions in Poland. We look forward to working closely with Bank 0of China again on future projects”, says Maciej Georg.
