Bird & Bird’s Aviation team in Asia-Pacific ranks 2nd in AFG Legal Survey

International law firm Bird & Bird announces today that its Aviation team in Asia-Pacific has been ranked 2nd in Airfinance Global’s (AFG) Annual Lawyers Guide 2024. In addition, the firm was ranked 3rd globally for advising on operating leases, with Paris-based associate Diane de Bustamente listed as a Rising Star.

AFG’s Annual Lawyers Guide 2024 is an annual survey based on the volume and complexity of aircraft finance and leasing transactions completed by law firms during 2023.

Leo Fattorini, head of Bird & Bird’s international Aviation & Aerospace sector group, comments: “Over the period covered by these rankings, we’ve been delighted to advise our fantastic airline and lessor clients on a wide range of aircraft and engine transactions, many of these deals adopting innovative structures and award-winning in their own right. Most of all, it’s been terrific to witness the industry move on from the devastation of the pandemic. Airlines have been refreshing their fleets with support from lessors and financiers, and the volume of aircraft trading by the lessor community has seen a marked uptick. Key jurisdictions and regions in which we support clients include India, China, South-East Asia, the Middle East and Europe.”
