I am an associate in our China Intellectual Property practice based in Beijing, China. I advise on clients' brand protection strategies, and also handle prosecution work in relation to clients' trade marks and copyright in China.
My practice focuses on trademark prosecution, enforcement, and broader brand protection strategies, with a particular emphasis on contentious matters in China. I advise clients on trademark clearance, portfolio management, oppositions, invalidations, and administrative litigation before the CNIPA and the courts. I also assist with copyright and domain name disputes, often in the context of broader anti-squatting or anti-counterfeiting strategies.
In addition to prosecution work, I also support clients on enforcement matters, including working with local administrative authorities and investigators to conduct onsite investigations, coordinate administrative complaints and raids, and pursue penalties against infringers. I assist with criminal referrals in serious counterfeiting cases and advise on customs strategies, including recordals, monitoring, and the seizure of infringing goods at China's borders.
I work with a range of well-known clients across the consumer goods, fashion, gaming, and technology sectors, many of whom I have supported over the years across multiple jurisdictions. I see myself as a long-term partner to clients, providing clear, practical, and commercially sound advice that supports their global brand protection goals.
I am bilingual in English and Chinese and frequently draft and review legal documents in both languages. I have passed the Chinese bar exam and bring both local legal knowledge and international experience to my work on cross-border matters.
